Keynote and Inspirational Speeches

Creativity is a system where the flow is born with the help of restrictions.

Imagine a 17-year-old blond girl being a tour-guide on a military island and a group of middle-aged men arriving, looking slightly disappointed after being introduced to their tour-guide. “So, we’re not going to see the former sea-mine construction factory and storage buildings?” they ask, opening another can of beer. “We are,” the young tour-guide confirms, making sure her glasses sit tightly on her nose. “Are we going to have an actual tour-guide when we get there?” one of the men asks. “I am your actual tour-guide,” the young girl replies, and by the sound of it, it’s not her first time for that type of conversation. The smile on her face is still friendly.

That young girl was me. Over the years and in different places, I’ve had many tough audiences, including 4-year-olds, who only want to run around, or teenagers, who avoided eye-contact. However, I’ve managed to keep people engaged.

Whether it’s a keynote speech, after-dinner talk, or sharing my own inspirational journey, expect my speeches to give the audience food for their thoughts, challenge their thinking and give them new perspectives.

I have over 20 years of experience in event hosting.  Currently, I’m one of the main hosts and organisers of the Poetry in the Park in Aberdeen, in collaboration with Like a Blot from the Blue and Common Sense Coffee House and Bar.

Whether it’s a private or public event, I’d be delighted to educate and entertain. Please, get in touch to bounce ideas.

I’m the TEDx Speaker

97 applied, 10 people were chosen, and I’m thrilled to say that I’m one of those 10 people who has a privilege to speak at the red dot in Aberdeen, November 2024.

Before stepping onto the stage, we’ll get various trainings – speech writing, business storytelling, public speaking but also professional development.

The theme for this year is Identity, and I’ll be sharing my journey as an immigrant creative freelancer in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Masterclass about creativity at AI and Chatbot Summit

In March 2023, I was delighted to participate at  The European Chatbot & Conversational – Generative AI Summit – 4th Edition, where I delivered a masterclass about how to use creativity in humanising chatbots.

Human creativity is becoming more and more important, and my approach to go beyond words when creating conversations, was really well received. One of the highlights was when I was given a shoutout the next day in front of the sold-out auditorium.

Also in March 2023, I attended an overnight business retreat at Maryculter House, organised by Doqaru. That was a final event for the 4-month programme for female entrepreneurs to level up their marketing and sales skills. ElevateHER programme included both – personal and business approach, which I’m grateful for.

Poetry in the Park

Launched in August 2023, it has become a well-known spoken word event in Aberdeen. It’s also the only outdoor spoken word event in the NE of Scotland. Co-founded, and co-hosted by the local poetry grand old man Fin Hall, it’s held at the last Sunday of every month, 1PM at Union Terrace Gardens. It’s free to attend, and it’s supported by the local cafe Common Sense Coffee House and Bar. It’s a great opportunity for aspiring and experienced poets to meet, perform their work, and network.

Since launching, we’ve been invited to perform at other outdoor local events like Victoria Park Market Day (Aug 2024), Big Belmont Street Bash (Sept 2024), and SHMU Fest (Sept 2024).
